Job summary

Compass Group PLC, via Chartwells, is seeking a dedicated Chef for full-time hours in the education catering sector. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals, oversee menus, and drive improvements across food services.

The role requires leadership experience, a City & Guilds NVQ pathway, and a valid Food Hygiene certificate. You will work Mon-Fri with a 35-hour week, contributing to a strong brand in UK education catering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.

• Assist with creation of new menus and concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleaning standards.

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells on a full time basis contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK. • Overseeing and implementing menu changes

• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
• Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations
• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Have experience supervising a team
• Have experience in a similar Chef role
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
• Have a flexible approach to working
