Job summary

Lancashire County Council's St Oswald's Catholic Primary School in Longton is seeking a Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade 3). You will prepare and serve meals for pupils, following menus and production plans, in a term-time friendly environment.

The role requires experience in large-scale catering, knowledge of food service, strong organisational and supervisory skills, and DBS disclosure. Flexible hours amount to 28.75 per week, with permanent status and pro-rata salary indicated.

Qualifications

• Experience of large-scale catering.
• Knowledge of food service and catering in general.
• Organisational, cost control and supervisory skills.
• Recognised supervisor or team leader qualification would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals per menus and production plans.
• Direct and/or supervise other staff.
• Order supplies and manage deliveries.
• Maintain records and stock control.
• Maintain food and kitchen hygiene standards and documentation.
