We’re looking for flexible and reliable Catering Assistants and Kitchen Porters to support local schools in the Halifax area. This is temporary, ad-hoc work based on each school’s daily requirements. You may be asked to work in different schools within the area, depending on demand. An Enhanced DBS is essential, and the Children’s Barred List check must be included. Previous catering or kitchen experience will be an advantage.

Position Overview

• Job Titles: School Catering Assistants / Kitchen Porters
• Location: Halifax area
• Type: Temporary, part-time, ad-hoc (during school term time)
• Shifts: Monday to Friday, during school hours
• Pay: starting from £12.21 p/hr

You will support the smooth running of school kitchens and dining areas. Duties may include basic food preparation, serving meals, washing up, cleaning kitchen spaces, and helping the wider catering team maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
