Job summary

Kellan Group is recruiting temporary Catering Assistants to join school catering teams around Hereford. You must hold or be willing to obtain a CURRENT Enhanced DBS certificate for school roles. Pay rate: £12.71-£13.45 per hour, depending on experience and site.

Temporary shifts are flexible and term-time friendly, with daytime hours and weekly pay. Register to work across primary, secondary, and academy sites in the Hereford area with support from a dedicated agency team.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for fast-paced environments.
• Reliable, professional and well-organised approach.
• Willingness to obtain or hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation.
• Serving meals to students and staff.
• Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene.
• Cleaning and clearing kitchen and dining areas.
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
