Tradewind Recruitment is hiring a Full-Time School Caretaker in the Wirral area, starting September 2026. The role is term-time only with some holiday flexibility, initially for the academic year and potential extension. We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to work on behalf of a secondary school in the Wirral area. The role is full‑time, term‑time‑only (with occasional holiday work) and is ideal for someone with a strong sense of responsibility, good maintenance skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities/maintenance role.
• Good knowledge of basic maintenance, health & safety, and security procedures.
• A practical, hands‑on approach and the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to manage a range of tasks from minor repairs to setting up school events.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Basic IT skills for logging maintenance requests or completing compliance checks.
