Job summary

Unique School Solutions is supporting a Primary School in Sheffield to appoint a School Caretaker. The role starts in September 2026 and involves unlocking/locking, weekly fire alarm tests and various health & safety duties, including Legionella water testing.

You will perform maintenance tasks around the school such as DIT, gardening and cleaning. The position begins as a temporary placement with potential for permanent employment after 12 weeks.

Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 6am-2pm

Unique School Solutions are supporting a Primary School in Sheffield to appoint a School Caretaker. The role will involve being responsible for unlocking and locking up the school, carrying out weekly fire alarm tests and keeping on top of other Health & Safety tests such as Legionella water testing. You will also be responsible for carrying out any general maintenance tasks around school, including DIT, gardening and cleaning where required. The role is to start in September 2026 and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous DIY and maintenance skills
