An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a School Business Manager to support the school community in moving to its next level of school improvement. The headteacher and governors of St. John’s (A) Primary School are particularly interested to hear from experienced school operations or school business managers who will share our vision and passion for education and our Christian ethos. They are seeking to appoint an exceptional, committed and highly focused individual, to join the senior leadership team to support them, the wider team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
We are a Church of England Voluntary Aided School, currently a maintained school, and have 280 pupils on roll. In order to support the school community, we are looking to develop our extensive grounds and modern facilities further. We are proud of our children and have a dedicated staff and we feel the business aspect of this position will enhance life chances for our children.
Although this is very much a strategic role that will influence practice, motivate teams, ensure accountability and contribute to school development and improvement, we want an individual to join us, who very much wants to know our children and families and lead from the front. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise, prepare action plans and implement systems and structures to support smart working. You will also need to have flexibility and be able to problem solve on a daily basis. Therefore, it is essential that applicants are professional, approachable and very effective and articulate communicators. You will be an active and supportive member of the SLT and business team who will manage the business, finance, premises and health and safety aspect of the school and personally assist the headteacher in certain strands of operations.
For such a key role we are asking possible applicants to visit the school prior to application. Please email recruitment@stjohnscea.org.uk to book a convenient time or book a visit time below.
