Job summary

Beaupré School is seeking a dedicated School Business Manager to oversee finance, administration, HR and compliance. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to manage budgets, procurement and reporting while ensuring confidentiality and high standards of operations.

The role requires strong ICT skills, experience with financial programmes, and the ability to engage with staff, parents and governors to support strategic development and timely decision making.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in an administrative/secretarial field, including finance.
  • Experience with financial programmes and budgets.
  • Strong ICT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage finance, administration, personnel and compliance; oversee budgets and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Headteacher and SLT to support strategic priorities and procurement.
  • Ensure HR, GDPR and Health & Safety compliance across the school operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with staff, parents, pupils and governors.

Job description

School Business Manager - Required 2nd November 2026 onwards

30 hours per week term time + 2 weeks per year, Mon - Fri 8.30am - 3.00pm however this may be flexible for the right candidate

Salary: Scale 5 point 12 - 17 dependant on experience. FTE annual Salary starting at £29,542.00

Annual Salary will be Pro-rated starting at £21,009.52 upwards

We are looking for:-
  • A warm-natured, efficient, highly motivated and conscientious person with the ability to work on their own initiative and in close partnership with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Office staff.
  • A professional who can contribute to strategic development, priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A professional with excellent interpersonal skills who can maintain supportive relationships with the Headteacher, Staff, Parents, Pupils, Governors and wider Stakeholders.
  • An ability to maintain high standards, respect confidentiality and with evidence of highly organised skills in all aspects of a busy school office.
  • A caring individual who has the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with parents and families.
  • Good ICT skills with experience of Microsoft Office packages is essential.
  • A professional who can lead and manage finance, administration, personnel and compliance; have experience of working with financial programmes, managing strategic financial plans, budgets and reporting systems.
  • A professional who can work directly with the Headteacher to manage budgets and procurement.
  • A professional with experience of working within legislation in relation to HR, Finance, GDPR and Health and Safety.
  • Experience of school systems would be an advantage, although training would be given to the right candidate. Have at least 2 years’ experience in an administrative /secretarial field, including finance.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training.
