Job summary

Stowe School seeks reliable School Bus Drivers to transport students to and from campus on scheduled routes. You will join a professional team operating high-quality, employer-branded vehicles and play a vital role in the daily lives of pupils.

Shifts include morning and evening services, with routes covering Aylesbury, Thame/Bicester and Chipping Norton. A clean D1 entitlement and vigilance on safety are essential, along with safeguarding and strong local area knowledge.

Qualifications

• D1 Licence Entitlement (clean license)

Responsibilities

• Vehicle safety and pre-use checks
• Operate routes to Stowe School and ensure timely student transport
• Refuelling and vehicle presentation before/after shifts
• Vehicle cleaning and overall presentation for safety and comfort
• Driver debriefing and report any issues or delays

Positions Available

Drivers

• Split-shift positions available
• AM and PM driver positions available

Routes Available

Route 1 – Aylesbury to Stowe School. Morning Service (6 days per week). Evening Service (5 days per week)

Route 2 – Thame / Bicester to Stowe School. Morning Service (6 days per week). Evening Service (5 days per week)

Route 3 – Chipping Norton to StoweSchool.Morning Service (6 days per week).Evening Service (5 days per week)

Driver Shifts

Morning Drivers

• Start: 05:30
• Finish: 09:30

Duties include:

• Vehicle safety and pre-use checks
• Route operation
• Refuelling
• Vehicle cleaning and presentation
• Driver debriefing

Evening Drivers

• Start: 18:30
• Finish: 21:00

Duties include:

• Vehicle safety checks
• Student transportation
• Returning vehicles to base following route completion

Please note: Pick-up and drop-off times have been tested and may be subject to minor operational adjustments.

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site.
