Job summary

Safe Space Counsellor role within Hertfordshire County Council's Safe Space service, working across Hertfordshire in schools/colleges with term-time hours. You will provide counselling to 4-25 year-olds, typically 8–12 sessions, 40–50 minute sessions, and travel between sites as needed.

The role requires safeguarding experience, driving ability, and strong IT skills to log sessions and manage a caseload, with clinical supervision available.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification and proof of BACP membership (or equivalent).
• Experience of safeguarding concerns.
• Driving licence with access to a car (business insurance).
• Experience delivering therapy to children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to children and young people within schools/colleges.
• Manage caseload and diaries, travel between locations as required.
• Maintain accurate case records and diary entries using the EHM system.
