Job summary

Senploy is seeking a qualified School Barber to deliver bespoke barbering sessions and mentoring for pupils with SEMH needs within a school setting.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, building trust, tracking progress with teachers, and acting as a positive role model to boost confidence and resilience.

Qualifications

• Barber qualification (Level 2/3) or equivalent.
• Experience with young people, especially SEMH pupils.
• Strong communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and dedication to supporting vulnerable students.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide barbering and grooming sessions for pupils in a safe, supportive environment.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to support SEMH needs.
• Build positive relationships to boost self-esteem, confidence and resilience.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to track progress and outcomes.

Are you a skilled barber with a passion for mentoring young people?

We are looking for a School Barber to join our team and deliver bespoke interventions for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to use your barbering expertise as a tool to build trust, boost confidence, and create safe spaces for positive conversations with students.

What you'll do:

• Provide barbering and grooming sessions for pupils in a safe, supportive environment.


• Use 1:1 and small group sessions as an intervention strategy to support students with SEMH needs.


• Build strong, positive relationships to encourage self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.


• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to track progress and outcomes.


• Act as a positive role model, helping students engage with school life.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified and experienced barber (Level 2/3 or equivalent).


• Experience working with young people, ideally those with SEMH needs.


• Strong communication and mentoring skills.


• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.


• A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
