Job summary

Downside School in Bath is seeking a Bank Nurse to support the welfare and development of pupils within our Benedictine boarding community. The Health & Wellbeing Centre provides care seven days a week, with a focus on physical, emotional and social needs.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate care, administer medications, support vaccination programmes and liaise with external health services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Paediatric, General or Mental Health expertise (NMC registered).
• Good oral and written communication skills and DBS clearance.
• Appreciation of Benedictine boarding school ethos and safeguarding focus.

Responsibilities

• Care for unwell and injured pupils with a nurse-led approach.
• Administer medications and support vaccination programmes.
• Liaise with Primary/Secondary Health Care Services and families.
• Work with safeguarding leads to protect pupil welfare.
