Newman 4 (NJC 6) - actual starting salary £20,577.92. St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a warm, nurturing, and inclusive single‑form entry Catholic primary school committed to providing an excellent, faith‑filled education for every child. We are seeking a highly organised, welcoming, and dedicated School Administrator to join our friendly team and play a key role in the smooth running of our school.



Responsibilities


  • Provide a warm, courteous welcome to parents, pupils, staff, and visitors.

  • Manage calls, emails, and general enquiries with professionalism and care.

  • Maintain accurate school records and assist with attendance monitoring.

  • Support admissions, pupil files, and statutory data collection.

  • Assist with aspects of financial administration.

  • Provide administrative support for school events, communication, and newsletters.

  • Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school in daily practice.



Qualifications


  • Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Confident using IT systems and school software (training provided).

  • Able to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team.

  • Committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children.

Hours & Working Pattern

The post is currently advertised for 33.5 hours per week. An example working pattern would be as follows:



  • Monday/Tuesday/Thursday - 8.00am to 12.00pm & 12.45pm to 3.15pm

  • Wednesday - 8.00am to 12.00pm & 12.45pm to 4.30pm

  • Friday - 8.00am to 12.00pm & 12.45pm to 3.00pm


Actual working pattern will be agreed at appointment and some flexibility may be possible for the right candidate.
