Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference and thrive in dynamic environments? Join us as an experienced Scheme Manager to review support plans, supervise staff, manage change, and bring creative ideas to enhance our service. Litslade Farm is a learning disability residential care home that supports 8 people with various complex needs. We support people who are Non‑Verbal, require nutrition, hydration and medication via a PEG tube, diabetics who require insulin injections, stoma care, hoisting and full personal care. This is a fast‑paced scheme that requires an enthusiastic and energetic individual to manage and thrive. The scheme offers 24‑hour care with 7 AM staff and 7 PM staff and 4 waking night staff.

Responsibilities
  • Empowerment and Support: Lead and inspire a dedicated team to support vulnerable people in achieving independence and fulfilling lives, collaborating with social workers and other professionals.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with external agencies to ensure a smooth and supportive journey for each young person.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support a team of Support Workers and Waking Night Workers.
  • Operational Management: Oversee staff rotas, including organising annual leave and covering sickness.
  • Manage scheme rota, recruitment and induction of new staff. This role may also require managerial shifts covering the weekend where necessary to ensure full and consistent cover of all shifts.
