The Scheduling Tactical Supervisor – Tactical (0–48 Hours) is fully responsible for maintaining schedule integrity within the active and near‑term operational window. This includes ensuring every flight is fully crewed, compliant, and optimized while managing AOGs, irregular operations, and last‑minute trip requests. The Scheduling Tactical Supervisor leads the tactical scheduling team on shift, ensuring all team members execute their responsibilities effectively to maintain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the active flight schedule (0–48 hours), ensuring legality, crew coverage, and operational readiness.
- Conduct a daily fleet scan each morning, identifying any potential issues or risks and promptly resolving or escalating them to the Duty Manager.
- Supervise and support the tactical scheduling team, ensuring all shift tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Manage AOGs, diversions, CTOTs, delays, and irregular operations, coordinating timely recovery actions with Operations, Maintenance, and Owner Services.
- Confirm all slots, permits, and parking are secured for Day +1 to ensure operational compliance and readiness.
- Make timely, informed decisions to reallocate crews or aircraft in response to disruptions or last‑minute trip requests.
- Oversee resource allocation Day +1 to prevent coverage gaps and ensure flight readiness.
- Ensure clear and streamlined communication between flight comms and Scheduling, Operations, Maintenance, and Owner Services to maintain visibility and coordination.
- Conduct clear and comprehensive shift handovers to ensure operational continuity between teams.
- Identify and report last‑minute sell‑off opportunities to the Duty Manager for validation.
- Ensure delivery of the full Day +1 flight program in a legal, complete, and optimized state.
- Provide on‑shift leadership and coaching, fostering accountability, teamwork, and adherence to standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within an aviation environment preferably Business Aviation
- Have a strong understanding and of International Operations.
- Scheduling experience is a plus.
- Candidate should work well in a fast‑paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
- Confidence to be able to optimize the flying schedule / identify sell‑offs with their own logical solutions, without consultation from Senior Leadership Team.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently or within a team.
- Ability and willingness to work early & late shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
