Scheduler – Join Our Team and Make an Impact!

Are you highly organised and great at keeping things running smoothly? We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the right resources are in place for both reactive and planned maintenance work. Your work will help us deliver outstanding service to customers and keep our field teams operating at their best.

What you will be doing as a Scheduler
  • Connect with customers to arrange planned maintenance and keep them informed.
  • Communicate effectively with field teams, managers, and coordinators to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time.
  • This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves problem‑solving, and wants to make a real difference every day.
  • You’ll be monitoring reactive work and ensuring that everything meets agreed targets.
  • Respond quickly to alarms, elevate issues, and assign work promptly.
  • Ensure company policies and are followed (including health & safety).
  • This is a role where you’ll always have the opportunity to look for ways to improve, and you’ll work alongside our Continuous Improvement Team.
  • Main IT packages you will use are Microsoft Office, SAP ECC, and Click to manage schedules and keep track of progress.

Working Hours are 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

Base Location: Hybrid – Kemble Court, Reading.

Please note that the internal job title for this role is SWAT Scheduler.

What you should bring to the role
  • This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves problem‑solving, and wants to make a real difference every day.
  • Brilliant communicator – Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail – great at analysing data to spot potential problems.
  • Previous experience in the Water/Wastewater industry would be great but not essential.
