Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Scheduler for a 12-month maternity cover in East London. You'll be responsible for managing repairs and maintenance schedules, ensuring efficient service delivery, and maintaining relationships with contractors and teams. Strong scheduling experience and familiarity with CAFM systems like Concerto and ServiceOS are required. This full-time role operates from the office, with one work-from-home day after probation.

Scheduler – 12-Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Full-time 36 hrs Office-based (1 WFH day after probation)

Build Recruitment is looking for an experienced Scheduler to join a busy repairs service on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

You’ll be the first point of contact for repairs and maintenance enquiries—scheduling works, managing workloads, and ensuring contractors and operational teams have everything they need to deliver an efficient service. Using systems such as Concerto and ServiceOS, you’ll triage requests, prioritise your caseload, and keep all stakeholders fully updated.

What you’ll be doing
  • Logging, scheduling, and progressing repairs work orders

  • Managing contractor updates and ensuring KPIs and deadlines are met

  • Handling day‑to‑day helpdesk enquiries and resolving escalations

  • Building strong relationships with repairs teams, contractors & key stakeholders

  • Supporting business development admin such as arranging meetings

  • Ensuring accurate system updates and compliance with policies & H&S standards

What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience in scheduling, repairs coordination, or a helpdesk role

  • Strong understanding of repairs/maintenance processes and contractor liaison

  • Confident user of CAFM systems (Concerto/ServiceOS advantageous)

  • Excellent customer service & clear communication skills

  • Highly organised and comfortable working under pressure

  • Strong IT skills and proactive problem‑solving ability

  • Flexibility to support occasional out‑of‑hours requirements
