Job summary

The Royal Shakespeare Company seeks a hands-on Workshop and Logistics Assistant to support the Scenic Workshops. You will help move, store and catalogue materials and props, and assist with logistics for Stratford, London and national productions.

You will join a busy team under the Head of Scenic Workshop Operations, contributing to set preparation, equipment operation and safe, sustainable workshop practices across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in workshop, warehouse, logistics or similar practical environment.
• Capability to undertake manual handling including lifting and moving large items.
• Full driving licence; forklift/MEWP license is advantageous, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Moving, storing and preparing materials, scenic items and props.
• Organising, maintaining and catalogue items in and out of storage.
• Loading and unloading scenic and technical equipment.
• Supporting workshops, rehearsals and productions with materials and logistics across Stratford, London and nationally.
• Assisting with workshop manufacturing activities, including set preparation and operation of workshop equipment including CNC and laser machines.
• Driving company vehicles and operating forklifts and MEWPs where required.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and sustainability within the workshops.
