Job summary

Stem Recruitment client seeks a Permanent Scale-Up Chemist to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Scotland. The role focuses on scaling up laboratory processes to industrial levels, driving cost efficiencies and continuous improvement while leading synthesis projects.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in chemistry with 4–10 years industrial experience and a proven ability to scale from grams to kilograms, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Chemistry with 4–10 years industrial experience.
• Experience scaling processes from <10g to 1kg and involvement in product development.
• Knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, analytical techniques, and purification methods.
• Track record in process improvement and scale-up project management.
• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
