Job summary

Univers is seeking a SCADA/EMS Engineer to deliver mission-critical monitoring and control systems for renewable energy projects. The role involves configuring, deploying, and commissioning SCADA and EMS solutions across BESS, PV, and Smart Grids, with ~50% travel to sites in the UK.

You will lead on-site activities, produce design docs, and collaborate with customers and teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Background in renewable energy, energy storage, or industrial control systems.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA, EMS and similar control systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC-104).
• Knowledge of networks, servers, Linux-based systems, and systems integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
• Experience with industry standards, cybersecurity practices, or relevant certifications (desirable).
• Passion for sustainable energy and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring confidence at every stage.
