Job description
Overview

We are recruiting SC Cleared Customer Engineers for a leading IT service provider based in London. Our Ring Fenced Team comprises 15 engineers covering the London area for sickness, holiday cover, Resource on demand requests and project requests. The RFT covers a number of different customer accounts including government and banking customers so you will be required to gain clearances for a number of different customers including Government SC and DV.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intermediate to advanced level desktop installation, configuration, support and troubleshooting services.
  • Provide basic Wintel server installation, configuration, administration and break‑fix repairs.
  • Drive a vehicle supplied by customer on occasion where required to travel to different customer satellite sites (clean driving licence required).
  • Support basic Desktop & Laptop hardware and software in a W10/Win11 environment (HP, Dell and Lenovo).
  • Provide Mac OS experience and knowledge, desktop and MacBook.
  • Use MS Office products – Office 365 and Teams.
  • Use Apple, Android and other mobile devices.
  • Understand wireless connectivity and fault diagnostics.
  • Conduct floor‑walk and walk‑up Tech Bar environments.
  • Navigate the OS to find and recreate desktop shortcuts.
  • Add printers and map network connections.
  • Follow scripts to build and configure laptops and desktops.
  • Perform moves and changes and set up workstations.
  • Have experience and knowledge in Server technology including datacentre (HP Proliant G8‑G10, Dell server, Lenovo blades), backups, tape library, storage, configuration and hardware.
  • Have Cisco knowledge.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer skills.
Contract Information

This is an umbrella contract; the role is Inside IR35.
