Job summary

Synergize Consulting Ltd seeks an SC Cleared Senior Configuration Analyst in a 12-month contract, hybrid with 1 day on-site in Luton. You will lead configuration management strategy, control of CIs, baselines, and change processes across programmes, ensuring traceability, audits, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires senior expertise in defence/aerospace standards, TCU usage, and leadership to mentor junior engineers and interact with regulators and customers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in configuration and change control within defence, aerospace, or another highly regulated industry.
• Proven experience authoring and maintaining Configuration Management Plans.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, baseline control, and change classification (Class I/Class II).
• Extensive experience using TCU or similar Tool for configuration and change control.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory engagement.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement configuration management strategy for programmes in line with policy and standards.
• Lead identification and control of Configuration Items (CIs) across hardware, software, and firmware.
• Establish, control, and maintain configuration baselines across the full life cycle.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, design artefacts, verification evidence, and delivered product.
• Act as technical authority for configuration management within assigned programmes.
• Lead end-to-end change control processes using TCU and chair Change Control Boards (CCB).
• Provide CMP as auditable evidence to customers and regulators and ensure effective implementation across teams.
• Mentor and support junior configuration and change control engineers.
