Our clients' Naval Marine programme delivers the through‑life engineering support of the Royal Navy's complex maritime assets ranging from managed inventories of types of equipment up to whole ships and nuclear submarines.
This role sits within our clients' Digital Solutions working within the Submarine Support Engineering division of Naval Marine. Within the Digital Solutions team, we deliver collaborative solutions for use by the entire UK defence maritime enterprise including the customer and other industry participants.
Reporting to a DS Snr Project Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for delivery of IKM projects as well as transition planning of applications into service and oversight of IKM services. The primary purpose of the post is to ensure that the projects deliver to time, cost and quality and that the customer is kept engaged and enthused.
We are a forward‑looking division who work closely with our customers to enable their business's and integrate our services into the existing business operation to improve the business output.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced project manager to join a dedicated team, working within the wider business, but focussed upon the development, delivery and ongoing management of Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) services including infrastructure, development and data analytics projects and the services that are associated with it.
As a Project manager in Digital Solutions you would be managing the delivery of integrated projects to the agreed budget, timescales and quality standard. A key part of the role is the stakeholder engagement for all projects under your control.
You would need to be able to liaise and work with the stakeholders at all levels providing knowledge and expertise in the specified field in order to deliver business solutions.
The role also requires a strong individual who can hold the team to the delivery schedule and support the timely submission and agreement of client changes and variations, ensuring that opportunities for contract revenue and margin growth are maximised.
You’ll need experience of managing complex IT projects using techniques including APM, Prince 2, with a sound knowledge and understanding of Project management methods and leadership skills. Have experience in finance and commercial aspects of projects, a working knowledge of IT systems life cycle from requirements analysis through to implementation. You will need to be educated to degree level or hold a relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience and be Prince 2 or APM qualified.
