Job summary

A technology services provider in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking an SC Cleared Deployment Engineer for a 4-month contract. The role entails providing break/fix support for desktops and laptops, troubleshooting Windows OS issues, and assisting with application installations. Strong knowledge of M365 and SC clearance is required. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in break/fix support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, M365, Teams, and ServiceNow.
  • Excellent documentation skills for IT service management systems.
  • Active SC Clearance is required.

Overview

SC Cleared Deployment Engineer - 4 months Contract - £220/day via umbrella company - onsite Barrow-in-Furness - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

Responsibilities
  • Provide break/fix support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Re-image devices and reinstall/configure applications as required.
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS, hardware, and enterprise applications efficiently.
  • Coordinate escalations and hardware replacements with third-party vendors.
  • Document issues and resolutions in IT service management systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
  • Assist with general troubleshooting of user issues and hardware refresh projects.
  • Install pre-packaged software manually via USB key when needed.
  • Support migration efforts, including Windows 10 to Windows 11 in-place upgrades.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in break/fix support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, M365, Teams, and ServiceNow (preferred).
  • Ability to follow instructions and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party vendors for hardware replacements.
  • Excellent documentation skills for IT service management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Active SC Clearance
