Job summary

A recruitment consultancy is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer to join a UK Government programme on a 6-month OUTSIDE IR35 contract. This hybrid role offers up to £675 a day and requires 5+ years of experience, preferably with government clients. IAPP certification is mandatory, and candidates should have SC Clearance eligibility or hold it actively.

Qualifications

Overview

SC Cleared / Clearable Data Protection Officer - 6 Month Contract (OUTSIDE IR35)

iO Associates are currently looking for an SC Cleared (preferable) or Clearable Data Protection Officer / Privacy Specialist to join a UK Government programme.

Contract & Location

This is an OUTSIDE IR35 Contract role offering up to £675 a day for an initial 6 months (scope to extend by 12 months). This is a hybrid working role (mostly remote) and you're able to work from either London, Bristol or Manchester.

Experience & Certifications

• 5+ years experience working as a Data Protection Officer / Data Protection Specialist / Privacy Specialist / Technologist
• Experience working with Government clients / projects (desirable)
• IAPP certified (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT)

Background

In terms of background, you'd ideally have worked for Big Tech firms and big Cloud consultancies before into government programmes (desirable). You need to be eligible for SC Clearance (UK National) or ideally you'd hold active SC Clearance.
