Job summary

We are seeking a saxophonist with extensive teaching experience to join the Tomplay product team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the Tomplay Interactive Sheet Music app with cutting-edge features, helping millions of musicians learn and play their instruments.

  • As your first project, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the integration of our new learning product for saxophonists.
  • Specifically, you will conduct market research to identify user needs and competitor offerings, define product requirements based on this research, and prepare a detailed product structure brief to be shared with the designer and video editor. Alongside the co-founder of Tomplay, you will then oversee the design and development of the new saxophone modules.
  • You will be responsible for the content of the beginner saxophone product. This includes arranging several songs for beginner saxophonists using Sibelius, testing these arrangements with your students, gathering feedback, and making adjustments as needed.
What we require from you
  • Saxophonist with extensive music teaching experience. To excel in this role, a thorough understanding of all music theory concepts is essential.
  • You teach saxophone to musicians of all levels, including beginners, and have a deep understanding of the needs and challenges that amateur musicians face when learning an instrument.
  • You are well-organized and autonomous, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent communication skills to coordinate all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • You are naturally tech-savvy and spend a considerable amount of time online. You have a strong understanding of how the web and apps work and can quickly learn new software platforms. You regularly use digital music learning platforms and believe that new technologies can positively impact the music learning process.
