Job summary

UK Space Jobs is seeking a skilled Software Quality Engineer to join our Mission Assurance team. This role spans software QA across the development lifecycle and quality oversight of satellite operations during commissioning, operations and anomaly response.

You will work with software engineers, systems engineers and spacecraft operators to ensure on-orbit software and satellites are fit for purpose, with deviations investigated and resolved using sound engineering judgment, while embracing

Qualifications

• BSc or MEng in a technical discipline relevant to aerospace, software or systems engineering.
• 3+ years in a software QA, systems engineering, or mission assurance role within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain software QA processes across onboard and ground software lifecycles.
• Ensure verification and validation activities are comprehensive and compliant.
• Lead anomaly investigations and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Support uptime and mission assurance during critical phases (Checkout, commissioning, in-orbit).
• Evaluate risks and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented.
