Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled SAS GradeDermatology Specialist to join our growing dermatology service in Manchester. The post-holder will provide high-quality outpatient dermatology care across multiple clinic sites, contributing to a responsive, patient-centred service.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of a broad range of dermatological conditions in outpatient and community settings.
  • Support dermatology triage and referral management to ensure effective patient flow.
  • Work collaboratively with consultant dermatologists, specialist nurses, GPs, and allied health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and uphold high standards of patient care.
  • Participate in teaching, supervision, and training of junior clinicians or wider primary care colleagues where appropriate.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • Evidence of specialist dermatology skills, training, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in the management of common dermatological conditions and confidence in performing routine dermatological procedures.
  • Postgraduate qualification in dermatology (e.g., Diploma in Dermatology).
  • Experience in NHS community dermatology services or outpatient surgery.
  • Competence in minor skin surgery or advanced dermatology procedures.
  • Experience in service development and teaching
