Job summary

Avance Consulting seeks an experienced SAP MM specialist to lead and deliver large-scale MM implementations for manufacturing clients in the life sciences domain. You will design and optimize MM processes, manage batch management capabilities, and drive data integration across global teams.

The role emphasizes capacity planning, production scheduling, and interface development, with strong stakeholder engagement to align with business requirements across multiple sites and geographies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years hands-on SAP MM implementation experience, preferably in Process Industries.
• Deep knowledge of MM/Logistics master data objects and their interdependencies, including BOM, PV, Master Recipe Documentation, and batch management capabilities (Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, Batch Derivation).
• Experience integrating SAP MM with other modules and with external systems.
• Hands-on experience in interface development and integration projects, including troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to work across global teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize SAP MM processes across Process, Repetitive, and Discrete Manufacturing environments.
• Drive capacity planning and production scheduling activities using advanced SAP functionalities and integration.
• Develop and maintain batch management processes, including Batch Determination, Batch Search Strategy, and Batch Derivation.
• Integrate SAP MM with related modules and maintain MM/Logistics master data objects, ensuring data flow across systems.
• Lead or participate in interface development and integration projects, ensuring robust data flow between SAP and external systems.
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones to ensure timely project delivery.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and drive continuous process improvements in production planning and execution.
• Engage with multiple sites to resolve plant/site specific issues.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

1. Variant Configuration experience to support complex product modelling and customization.
2. Integration of SAP MM - Strong understanding of MM/Logistics master data objects and their interdependencies, Strong knowledge of supply chain master data and related configurations, Material Master setup across all views (Basic, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Foreign Trade, etc.).
3. Basic understanding of manufacturing line processes, including shop floor operations and production workflows.
4. Prior involvement in global delivery models, with experience collaborating across IST and European time zones.
5. Experience in Repetitive and Discrete Manufacturing alongside Process Industries.
6. Ability to conduct training and workshops for business users and stakeholders.
7. Familiarity with SAP best practices and industry standards in life sciences or similar regulated industries
