Are you ready to shape the future of integration at Severn Trent? We’re on the lookout for a SAP IntgrationEngineer to join our dynamic Shared Services team. This team is at the heart of our integration platforms, including SAP BTP, which underpins the connectivity of our core business systems. With major transformation projects underway—such as our migration to the Kraken customer platform and the shift from SAP ECC to S/4HANA—this is a pivotal time to join us and make a real impact.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and deployment of integration solutions across SAP PI, CPI, AEM, APIM CIG, and NetWeaver Gateway. You’ll collaborate closely with architectural, functional, and Basis teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules and third‑party systems. From producing high‑level design documents to supporting the transition of projects into BAU, you’ll be instrumental in driving technical excellence and ensuring our integration landscape is robust, scalable, and future‑ready.

Beyond project delivery, you’ll provide 2nd and 3rd line support, manage service requests, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also play a key role in supplier governance, lifecycle management, and roadmap alignment—ensuring our platforms remain secure, supported, and strategically aligned. You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre Head Officein Coventry. You’ll work within SAP Apps team of around a dozen people all working on similar projects and pulling in the same direction. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need to be naturally curious and detail‑oriented, with strong planning and problem‑solving skills. We value people who take initiative, spot areas for improvement, and follow through to make things better.

What you’ll bring:
  • Strong Hands‑on experience in SAP PO and SAP CPI as well as some experience of Advanced Event Mesh and SAP APIM development
  • Solid experience with SAP PI 7.3 or above, including both dual and single stack environments
  • CPI project experience which includes integration between Cloud‑to‑Cloud apps like Salesforce, SuccessFactors, S4 Hana Cloud etc
  • Knowledge of error handling, performance tuning, and monitoring in CPI
  • Experience in CTS+ and BTP Transport Management (TMS)
  • Strong working knowledge of standard PI adapters like IDOC_AAE, HTTP_AAE, RFC, REST, SOAP, FILE, JMS, and JDBC
  • Comfortable in writing CPI Groovy scripts and Java User Defined Functions (UDFs) in PO
  • Knowledge of IDOC, Webservices, ABAP Proxy, SoapUI/Postman
  • Proven capability in providing technical support for integration issues and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of NetWeaver Gateway and ARIBA CIG is preferred
