Job summary

An IT Service provider is seeking an experienced SAP HCM Technology Functional Consultant to support ongoing projects in a hybrid role based in Hatfield. You will deliver projects from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring high-quality HR solutions. The ideal candidate has SAP HCM certifications, proven project lifecycle experience, and strong communication skills. This position is outside IR35 and offers market rate compensation.

Qualifications

  • Certified in SAP HCM and SuccessFactors modules.
  • Multiple project lifecycle experience of implementation on SAP HCM.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and ability to run workshops.

Job Summary

Our client is an international IT Service provider who requires an SAP HCM Technology Functional Consultant to support an on-going project.

START: ASAP

END DATE: 19/12/2025 (POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSIONS)

LOCATION: HYBRID - HATFIELD

RATE: MARKET RATES APPLY

IR35: OUTSIDE IR35

Role and Responsibilities
  • End to end delivery of projects starting from requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with HR business teams to understand processes, pain points, and requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, capture requirements and convert them into functional specifications that are clear, concise and can be built based on SAP best practices.
  • Responsible for delivery of inbound and outbound integrations from SAP HCM and Success Factors. Handle integration errors, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
  • Ensure that HR solutions developed are consistent with Computacenter Standard Definition and are stable, scalable and secure.
  • Work with developers to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and automation where feasible.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Certified in SAP HCM and Success Factors modules.
  • Strong understanding of SAP HCM modules (OM, PA, SAP HCM Payroll, SAP Time Management, CATS, integrations) and ability to troubleshoot ABAP programs, user exits, BAdIs, and custom reports related to HCM and EC integration.
  • Multiple project life‑cycle experience of implementation and rollouts on SAP HCM system and Success Factors modules.
  • Good understanding of HR processes (employee life cycle).
  • Ability to run workshops and write functional specs as part of solution design, considering various aspects of delivery.
  • Hands‑on configuration experience in gross/net SAP payroll and time management modules.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP ABAP (debugging, enhancements, interfaces).
  • Strong understanding of HCM data models, replication mechanisms, and HR business processes.
  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP, OData) and file‑based integrations (CSV, XML).
  • Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong personal ownership and highly delivery focused.
