Job summary

HelloKindred is seeking a Payroll Lead Functional Consultant / Architect to drive the Discovery phase of a payroll migration programme. You will assess business requirements, review migration tooling, and define scope, costs and resource needs to support the Foundation phase.

The role combines SAP HCM Payroll expertise with strong delivery and risk-management skills, in a hybrid UK-based setup with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SAP HCM Payroll configuration across S/4 and/or ECC.
• Strong experience analyzing payroll requirements and impacts on scope.
• Experience in payroll migration programmes or discovery activities.
• Ability to define scope, plan workstreams, estimate costs, and profile resources.
• Excellent communication across business, data, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse client business requirements and determine impacts on the existing payroll scope within the current ROM.
• Collaborate with the Data Lead to assess migration tools (Epi-Use/Spinifex) and make recommendations.
• Update the ROM in collaboration with colleagues, revising payroll scope, plans, and estimated costs.
• Support the Engagement Manager in producing the SOW for the Foundation phase covering payroll scope and resources.
• Maintain the workstream plan for migration tooling assessment, recommendations and risk handling.
• Identify and manage programme risks and issues with mitigations.
• Produce weekly status reports on areas of responsibility.
