Job summary

Queen Square Recruitment is looking for an experienced SAP VIM Functional Consultant to join a major SAP transformation programme. This role involves configuring and supporting OpenText Vendor Invoice Management solutions integrated with SAP Finance and Procurement, working closely with multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP implementations and a strong background in SAP Finance and Accounts Payable processes. This position offers a hybrid working model allowing for both onsite and remote work.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP VIM Functional Consultant to join a large-scale SAP transformation programme. This role will play a key part in the implementation, configuration, testing, and support of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions integrated with SAP Finance and Procurement processes.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third‑party vendors to deliver efficient invoice automation, workflow management, and accounts payable solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, support, and test SAP VIM solutions within a large SAP landscape.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define and execute end‑to‑end test scenarios.
• Translate business process requirements into functional solutions and testing strategies.
• Support invoice processing, workflow configuration, exception handling, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Shared Services, and IT teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Drive adherence to established SAP templates, governance standards, and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, performance testing, go‑live activities, and post‑production stabilisation.
• Manage and resolve SAP VIM‑related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide functional expertise across SAP Finance and Accounts Payable processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as an SAP VIM Functional Consultant.
• Strong experience with OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).
• Experience delivering SAP implementations, rollouts, enhancements, or support projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance (FI) and Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience creating test scenarios and supporting SIT/UAT activities.
• Ability to engage effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment.
• SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Knowledge of Invoice Capture Center (ICC).
• Experience with OpenText Archive Server.
• Understanding of SAP AP, AR, and General Ledger processes.
• Retail industry experience would be advantageous.
