Job summary

Next Ventures, a leading technology and consulting firm, is seeking a Manager in its SAP practice to specialise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI). You will lead the design and delivery of SAP-enabled finance solutions for large-scale S/4HANA transformation programmes, working with cross-functional teams and clients across industries.

The role requires hands-on SAP FI configuration, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional designs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on configuration of SAP S/4HANA FI components including GL, AA, AR, AP, and bank
• Experience integrating FI with Controlling and other SAP modules
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and SAP best practices
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and participate in workshops
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client and offshore teams

The Role

As a Manager within the SAP practice, you will specialise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), with the opportunity to:

Skills & Professional Experience

Essential

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate experience in:

• Hands‑on configuration of core SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting, including General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Bank Accounting.
• Integration between SAP FI and Controlling, as well as other relevant SAP modules.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, concepts and processes.
• Understanding of SAP Enterprise Structure concepts and how these align with organisational and business structures.
• Participating in or facilitating Fit‑to‑Standard workshops and translating business requirements into functional designs.
• Completing solution design, configuration, unit testing, documentation and other project deliverables within agreed timelines.
• Preparing functional specifications for development objects.
• Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall implementation methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues both onshore and offshore.
• Building strong professional relationships with client stakeholders, project leaders and peers.
• Producing high-quality deliverables and documentation.
• Identifying and escalating timeline concerns, risks and issues to project leadership.
• Strong understanding of SAP Best Practices.

Desirable

• Qualified or part‑qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Security cleared or able to obtain security clearance.
• Experience working across both private and public sector environments.
