Job summary

PwC in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced SAP Delivery Director to lead end-to-end SAP programs for major clients. You will oversee multiple project teams, shape strategy, and ensure delivery on time and within budget while driving value and stakeholder satisfaction.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, requiring strong governance, AI awareness, and the ability to manage multi-vendor, onshore and offshore delivery models.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SAP delivery programs and large-scale transformations.
• Proven track record managing multi-country SAP implementations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/BI, BTP, and Ariba.
• Experience with SAP Activate, Agile, waterfall, and PMO governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.

The SAP Delivery Director is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of SAP programs and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. This role oversees multiple project teams, manages client and stakeholder relationships, drives adoption of delivery best practices, and ensures SAP solutions align with business strategy and deliver measurable value.

What Your Days Will Look Like

• Lead and govern the delivery of complex SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and managed services.
• Resolving key design decisions focusing on technical architecture and integration for our S/4 HANA clients
• Developing cost models for large-scale SAP implementations and lead project analysis for transitions from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
• Developing project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients with use of SAP BTP and/or other integration platforms
• Architect and deliver innovative IT solutions, lead UI strategies, compare technology options to maintain a ‘clean core’, focused on SAP but with a knowledge of surrounding technologies
• Manage a portfolio of SAP project/program managers, solution architects, and functional/technical leads.
• Managing and delivering large projects by developing/mentoring the project team, assessing Architecture options with SAP for our clients, managing engagement risks throughout
• Contribute to SAP roadmap, platform strategy, and value realization plans with business leadership.
• Shaping and delivering projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
• Influencing clients’ use of AI solutions/SAP Joule
• Training, coaching, and supervising team members
• Own P&L for the SAP delivery portfolio or practice as applicable.

This Role Is For You If

• Experience in SAP programs within delivery or program management leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing large, complex, multi‑country SAP implementations or transformations.
• Strong understanding of SAP products and architecture (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BW/BI, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.).
• Experience with delivery methodologies (SAP Activate, Agile, waterfall, hybrid) and PMO governance.
• You have excellent stakeholder management and relationship building both internally and with the client
• Background in consulting or system integrator environment.
• You have Pre-sales experience
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi‑vendor environments and offshore/onshore delivery models including leading and inspiring large teams of technical consultants onshore, nearshore and offshore
• Passionate about AI and experience using various AI tools to support delivering business transformation / support of delivery projects
