Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Specialist to support the migration of a recent UK acquisition to an ECC6 SAP system in Newport. The role is initially a 6-month contract and requires onsite presence 3 days a week.

You will prepare, cleanse, transform and load data from non-SAP sources, develop migration tests (LSMW), and collaborate with functional teams to ensure a smooth go-live and post go-live support. SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience migrating data from non-SAP to SAP ECC6
• Experience developing data migration load programs (e.g. LSMW)
• Strong understanding of SAP data objects
• Experience of data conversion, mapping and transformation
• Ability to resolve data load defects and failures
• Collaborative work with functional consultants and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Data preparation and cleansing
• Produce and maintain data migration documentation (plans, mappings, runbooks)
• Support data cleansing of non-SAP data with business teams
• Prepare templates for master and transactional data
• Data extraction and transformation
• Data migration and load execution
• Develop migration test scripts using LSMW
• Execute test loads and troubleshoot defects
• Conduct dress rehearsals and reconciliations for data quality

This role is on an initial 6-month contract and is required to be onsite 3 days a week.

For this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance and meet the standard UK nationality and residency requirements for site access.

Role Overview

A leading Defence business is seeking an experienced data migration specialist to support the migration of a recent UK acquisition to their ECC6 SAP system. The role will focus on data preparation, cleansing, conversion, loading and reconciliation from a non- SAP system to SAP ECC6 through iterative migration cycles, ensuring business readiness for deployment and supporting a successful go-live.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Data preparation and cleansing
• Produce and maintain key documentation including data migration plans, mapping specifications and runbooks
• Support business teams with data cleansing of non-SAP data
• Prepare templates for master and transactional data
• Data extraction and transformation
• Data migration
• Develop migration test scripts i.e. using LSMW
• Execute migration test loads and troubleshoot failures and defects
• Execute dress rehearsals and perform reconciliations to ensure data quality
• Cut-over and Go-live support
• Contribute to cut over and go-live planning
• Support production data migration activities
• Provide post go-live support hypercare

The individual:

• Hands on experience of performing data migrations from non-SAP systems to SAP ECC6
