Job summary

Subway in Peterborough is seeking a friendly Sandwich Artist to join our team. You will greet guests, prepare and serve Subway sandwiches, and deliver outstanding service while maintaining brand standards.

Full training will be provided, and prior experience in retail or food service is welcome but not essential; the right attitude and teamwork can lead to progression into supervisory roles. This role emphasizes health and safety, clean work practices, and a neat appearance in the provided

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain food storage and preparation areas according to Health & Safety standards.
• Follow Food Code of Practice and security procedures.
• Operate till and handle cash transactions.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.
• Present a professional appearance in provided uniform and uphold brand standards.
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high service levels.
• Deliver friendly, efficient service while addressing customer needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure food storage and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Till Operator
• Monitoring stock levels
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Follow security & safety procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers
• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet the Subway® brand and customer expectations
• Work as a team member
• Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales and catering for customer needs.

As aSandwich Artist™ you will serve and add value to customer needs in an efficient and friendly manner. In this role you will promoteSubway® brand awarenessand ensure hygiene standards are met.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential because you will receive full training and undertake various University of Subway® courses. What’s more important is a winning attitude. If you’re currently working in retail or in a restaurant, perhaps you are studyingand are looking to start a career in the food industry.
