The Role

One of the UK's leading construction, engineering and M & E manufacturing organisations has a rare and potentially career-defining permanent opportunity available. The role is based at the UK headquarters in East Sussex, working a hybrid model.

You will play a vital specification consultant / technical sales role, working closely with main contractors, consultants, architects and specifiers to propose comprehensive solutions to commercial, retail, hotel, industrial and construction projects. Your work will revolve around mechanical engineering, M & E, HVAC and light structural steelwork.

You will also collaborate with external stakeholders, clients and your internal technical engineering, CAD and project teams, to secure successful sales tenders, orders and projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Superb communication and presentation skills
• Proven technical sales abilities and experience as a specification sales consultant, technical sales consultant, technical sales executive, sales engineer or other commercially involved sales professional
• Experience working within the specification phases is advantageous but not essential; experience dealing with architects, specifiers, consultants and main contractors is also desirable
• Background in mechanical engineering, M & E, HVAC, fabrication, structural steelwork or other construction‑related field; however, a proven sales consultant from other technical markets may also apply

Location & Hybrid Working Details

The UK head office is based in East Sussex. The role requires occasional travel to site. We offer a hybrid model and can consider candidates living anywhere south of Oxford. Preferred local areas include Crawley, Tunbridge Wells, Horsham, Guildford, Basingstoke, Reading, Brighton, Lewes, Seaford, Uckfield, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Hastings, Crawley. We can be flexible with location for an experienced sales consultant.
