Overview

Independent Forgings and Alloys has an exciting opportunity for a committed, driven and ambitious Sales Manager to join our journey to become the number one forging company in the world.

This individual will be at the leading edge of driving our sales and commercial team to success as we look to significantly grow the company through the next 3‑5 years. This growth is being supported by a robust CAPEX plan enhancing capabilities through optimisation and automation.

Main duties of the role include:
  • Achievement of set targets and KPIs aligned to business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage the sales team, enabling them to generate business by converting enquiries into orders and achieving sales targets.
  • Review the development of key accounts and customer partnerships to keep the team focused on key customers.
  • Ensure the sales team meets departmental objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service through online, telephone contact and customer visits as applicable.
  • Effectively develop and utilise a CRM/ERP system.
  • Organise and complete induction training, annual job chats, performance management, business skill matrix, return‑to‑work interviews, and system administration.
  • Maintain and review relevant sales quality procedures to meet national and international customer specifications, and meet with internal and external auditors as required.
  • Maintain departmental performance in line with quality and health & safety procedures.
  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., production control, technical) to ensure timely delivery to customers and decide on order priorities when needed.
