Sales (BD & Account Management ) – Renewables Tech Engineering

Sector: Renewable energy technology

Company: specialist technical / software engineering to global renewable sector (Solar, Wind, Wave, Hydrogen)

Mix of Business Development & Account Manager & for Software/ Engineering / Technical Sales.

Requires background in Sales / BD/ Account Management for Renewables / Engineering/ Tech.

Exciting opportunity with a high profile global engineering company with offices in UK, EU.

Well-established and respected SaaS company with large scale Projects for major clients. Our client has expanded and now requires a dedicated BD Lead / Manager. We are currently fulfilling the role on behalf of the client.

Role
  • Responsibility for Account Management, BD, Sales & Marketing for Leading SaaS products for the high growth renewables sector.
  • Manage your own BD and pipeline and Help develop sales strategy
  • Devise and execute new ideas for Business Development campaigns (in conjunction with marketing agency).
  • Use market knowledge to feed into Product Development Team.
  • Mix of new and existing business: Responsible for building relationships and growing accounts with existing clients and also winning new business bids.
  • Meet clients, attend events, webinars, content creation and getting involved with renewables. The role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to work in cross‑cultural teams, and strong decision‑making abilities.
Essential skills and experience
  • Technical Sales &/ Business Development Lead Ideally within renewable energy.
  • Background in renewables – any of Tech/ IT/ Software / Engineering sales
  • B2B Business Development processes and technologies.
  • Experience in setting up Sales & BD function/ team.
Advantage

Renewables tech / software/ engineering with commercial/ market knowledge

Ideally you will have a Background in Renewables eg PV, Onshore/ Offshore Wind, Tidal, Biomass

Experience with any of energy companies, wind developers, designers, manufactures, suppliers, fabricators, support vessels, installation / construction contractors
