Job description

Teya is building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe, focused on simple tools and real human support.

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to help scale our Independent Sales Consultant (ISC) channel across the North of England. The role is fast-paced, high‑velocity, field‑based, working alongside self‑employed sales professionals who operate as independent partners. You will report to a Regional Sales Manager and support coaching and developing ISCs from their first week to independence. Success will be measured by revenue impact and channel strength.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Build, lead, and inspire a commission-only sales network, setting standards, driving accountability, and earning influence without relying on traditional management levers.
  • Take full ownership of the team’s commercial performance, turning a self-employed consultant in their first week into a high-output revenue engine.
  • Support ISCs throughout their journey, with a focus on the first 90 days, by showing up in person, building trust, and establishing a partnership foundation.
  • Co‑coach live on merchant calls, run weekly reviews, and keep the team sharp and on track.
  • Run regular quality assessments with Sales Enablement and RSMs, identifying blockers, pricing issues, and at-risk ISCs early.
  • Unite new joiners and experienced sellers through monthly in-person sessions that foster team culture and performance.
  • Analyze data to uncover growth opportunities, reduce friction, and accelerate the region.
  • Champion the consultant experience at every level, providing field insight to Product, Marketing, and Operations to improve tools, messaging, and resources.
Your Story
  • Proven track record in B2B field sales, ideally within payments, fintech or software.
  • Comfortable with performance data, incentive structures, and unit economics that drive a healthy channel.
  • Highly organized and resilient, managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Direct, empathetic communicator who can give honest feedback and hold people accountable while preserving relationships.
  • Process disciplined and familiar with structured frameworks required to build scalable solutions.
  • Car owner/driver willing to spend a minimum of 50% of time in the field across the region.
The Perks
  • Flexible working hours, as long as they suit you and your team.
  • Health support through GymPass, 1-on-1 therapy, meditation sessions, and digital fitness and nutrition apps.
  • Extended and improved maternity and paternity leave options.
  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme.
  • Health and life insurance.
  • Enhanced pension scheme.
  • 25 days of annual leave.
