What will I be doing?
As MICE Sales Manager, you will drive revenue growth and position the hotel as a market leader. Focus on securing new business in the MICE segment while nurturing existing relationships for repeat business. Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives across all revenue streams.
Business Development & MICE Focus
- Proactively hunt new business opportunities within the MICE sector, including corporate meetings, conferences, and group events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and travel agencies to drive group bookings and event revenue.
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote the hotel and generate qualified leads.
Market Analysis & Strategy
- Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats.
- Recommend and implement strategies that enhance the hotel’s competitive positioning and revenue performance.
- Develop and manage customer accounts, traveling locally and beyond to secure new business and grow market share.
- Negotiate room rates, packages, and event contracts with corporate and group clients.
- Collaborate with internal departments to deliver seamless guest experiences and tailored event solutions.
Reporting & Performance
- Produce accurate and timely sales reports, including lead generation, appointments, conversion rates, and pipeline updates.
- Monitor and manage personal performance in line with company policies and KPIs.
Client Engagement
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Represent the hotel at UK and international sales events to showcase offerings and build brand awareness.
