Job summary

Matthew Algie is seeking a Coffee Sales Manager for a field-based role in the Manchester area, full-time, Monday to Friday. You will drive new opportunities, manage a portfolio of customers and deliver exceptional service across Newcastle, Leeds and North East territory as applicable.

You will meet sales targets, conduct coffee audits, train customers, and maintain account records while benefiting from a company vehicle, healthcare support, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a track record of meeting sales targets across a portfolio of accounts.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Educated to A level or equivalent.
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office packages with high numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Make at least 25 customer visits per week and 5 prospect visits per week as a minimum.
  • Administer customer accounts and manage sales processes.
  • Conduct full equipment and coffee audits and maintain records of sales history.
  • Manage in-field customer interactions, training, and after-sales support.
  • Develop plans to grow customer value using gap analysis and opportunities.

Position: Coffee Sales Manager
Location: Field-based, Manchester area
Job Type: Full time, Permanent. Monday to Friday
Salary: £28k to £32k + Company vehicle + uncapped bonus potential

Purpose of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Matthew Algie to apply for the position of Coffee Sales Manager in the Field Sales Team, covering the Newcastle, Leeds & North Eastarea.In your new role, you will be responsible for identifying new customer opportunities within your designated sales territory and developing the existing customer base by delivering first class customer service and training. You’ll work to achieve the agreed sales targets, profit and business goals by managing customer accounts in your allocated territory and selling the most relevant range of Matthew Algie and Espresso Warehouse products and services that meets the customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your time effectively to achieve 25 customer visits per week plus 5 prospect visits per week as a minimum
  • Administration of customer accounts
  • Follow a structured approach to the sales process (including full equipment and coffee audit, understanding of current customer record card & sales history)
  • Manage all customer interaction in the field including business development, coffee quality, training, machine movements, administration and all aspects of outstanding sales support
  • Recognise opportunities to grow customer value using gap analysis report
  • Develop a prospect plan that details current opportunities within the area
  • Make effective use of all marketing support materials
  • Conduct regular coffee audits
  • Maintain current record of training for all accounts
  • Respond to and deal with any customer issues within 24 hours
Experience

To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar role with a track record of successfully meeting sales targets across a portfolio of customer accounts. You must also hold a full and valid UK driving licence.

Skills / Knowledge

You will be educated to A level or equivalent. You will be competent in all Microsoft Office packages and you will have a high level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
