Job description

Leading media events business owns and operates a number of industry leading fashion and retail exhibitions. Proudly, they are the largest and longest running events in the industry and draw in audiences in excess of 12,000 visitors per show. With expansion plans across the business, we are looking to hire a Sales Manager to join the team.

Hybrid working: London-based role with two days working from home and three days in the office at Angel, Islington.

The successful candidate will be part of a small but established team responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition packages to prospective clients, developing a strong client base and meeting set targets. The Sales Manager will also manage a team of three sales executives.

Role Responsibilities
  • Selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages.
  • Outreach calls to clients via a mix of warm incoming leads and cold calls.
  • Team leadership.
  • Achieving and exceeding team and individual sales targets set by the Sales Manager.
  • Face‑to‑face sales presentations with clients and agencies.
  • Contributing ideas to assist in the growth of the business.
  • Attending competitor events to generate new leads.
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in a media sales background – ideally exhibition sales.
  • A passion for sales and willingness to make outbound calls.
  • Ideally some team leadership experience.
  • Highly driven to hit targets and reach financial incentives (commission).
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A confident, outgoing personality.
  • Able to work as part of a team but also use own initiative.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 plus excellent benefits.
