Leonardo UK Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sales Manager for Typhoon Export. You will drive strategic and commercial growth of support contracts, manage export sales campaigns, and forecast orders within the Eurofighter support landscape.

The role requires experience in defence/aerospace markets, especially the Eurofighter Typhoon programme, and strong leadership with cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Capability, Programme Management, Engineering, and Finance.

Salary: £70,000 - £78,000

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Your impact

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leonardo Customer Support & Service Solutions (CS3) Sales Team. We develop support solutions across the air, land and maritime domains for the UK and export market. As an integral part of Leonardo’s Electronics business in the UK and overseas; our Support & Service Solutions help customers get the best possible performance and value from the equipment they own.

As a Sales Manager for Typhoon Export, you will operate within a high-impact, global matrix organization focused on international aerospace and defence support programs. Your primary objective is driving strategic and commercial growth of support contracts and managing export sales campaigns within the Eurofighter support landscape. This will also involve delivery of defined order intake and sales forecast targets across the campaigns, as well as management of project budgets, monthly sales reviews and risk/opportunity profiles.

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of both the domestic and international defence and aerospace market, as well as experience and proven success in strategic selling and complex systems capture. More specifically, a strong understanding of the Eurofighter Typhoon programme, its international partner relations, and wider defence / avionics support landscape would be hugely beneficial. They must also be comfortable undertaking accurate and well-informed market and competitor analysis.

• You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in Commercial, Capability, Programme Management, Engineering and Finance.
• To win profitable business you will have broad exposure to the business, leading Integrated Campaign Teams in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment. Influencing skills play a key role, both internally and externally.
• You will be able to influence stakeholders and build relationships at all levels, including Embassies and Government Agencies that support exports.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong leadership capabilities and commercial acumen.
• Sound financial management and forecasting skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
