Location: North Northamptonshire
Salary: Circa £50,000, negotiable + Benefits & Bonus incl car or car allowance
Based: UK and European Travel, office and hybrid based

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven National Sales Manager to lead our UK sales function. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth, expanding our eco‑friendly packaging portfolio, and strengthening long‑term customer relationships across multiple sectors. This is a strategic, field‑based role suited to a sales leader with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship‑building skills, and a passion for greener packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sales Leadership
  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to drive revenue growth across all product categories, including eco‑friendly and bespoke printed solutions.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within hospitality, foodservice, wholesale, FM, retail, and distribution sectors.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
Customer & Market Development
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring tailored support and solution‑led selling.
  • Champion sustainable packaging options, educating customers on product benefits and environmental impact.
  • Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events to promote the brand and build market presence.
Commercial & Operational Collaboration
  • Work closely with purchasing, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product availability, competitive pricing, and market‑relevant propositions.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and competitor insights.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to shape new eco‑friendly ranges and bespoke printed offerings.
Efficiency & Service Excellence
  • Support customers in reducing costs through consolidated purchasing and optimised ordering.
  • Ensure a seamless end‑to‑end service, including stock planning and coordination with warehousing and logistics.
  • Uphold the company’s commitment to high quality, environmental responsibility, and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven track record in national sales leadership, ideally within packaging, catering disposables, FMCG, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of eco‑friendly and sustainable packaging trends.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, create actionable sales plans, and deliver results.
  • Strategic thinker with hands‑on commercial drive.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
