Job summary

Fisher German is looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Controller to join the Ashby de la Zouch head office. In this full-time 12‑month FTC, you will contribute to a small, friendly finance team, ensuring accurate sales ledgers, daily banking, and timely customer statements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• High attention to detail.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong use of Microsoft Packages – especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cashbook – Daily Banking & Bank reconciliation.
• Recording day to day incoming and outgoing payments and other financial transactions on Dimensions.
• Allocating cash promptly and correctly.
• Daily reconciliation of unallocated cash, liaising with other business areas to ensure that all cash received is allocated.
• Taking card payments & processing customer refunds.
• Preparing and distributing reports showing the ageing of sales ledger debt.
• Raising VAT only invoices and credit notes.
• Issuing monthly customer statements.
• Dealing with a centralised inbox.
• Ad hoc projects as required.
