Sales Executive (Sales Administration Focus)

The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Sales Executive to support the commercial operations of our growing business. This position will focus on sales administration, quotation generation, procurement monitoring, and customer engagement, contributing to RDS's global mission of delivering life‑saving EOD equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and an interest in the defence or security sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue accurate sales quotations and commercial proposals in line with company pricing and policy.
  • Monitor public and defence procurement portals for relevant tenders and opportunities.
  • Support the sales and management teams by maintaining up‑to‑date records of sales activities and opportunities using CRM systems.
  • Conduct market research into sales channels, traded products, customer requirements, and competitor activity.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to obtain quotations and coordinate order fulfilment.
  • Assist in organising and attending trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events.
  • Provide administrative support for contracts, purchase orders, and export documents.
Skill and Qualifications
  • Some experience within the defence industry or EOD sector preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team.
