Sales Executive - Equipment Rental & Event Solutions

Location: Hybrid (UK travel required) | Salary: negotiable + commission + company car

Overview

An exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Sales Executive to join a leading UK provider of temporary structures, equipment hire, and event solutions supporting high-profile live events, construction, logistics, and retail projects. The business specialises in the design, manufacture, and rental of large-scale modular structures, interiors, and temporary facilities across the UK and internationally.

This role offers a chance to work with a dynamic, fast-paced team, managing the full sales cycle — from identifying opportunities to delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, and supporting project handovers.

You'll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Sales, Operations, and Technical Services to grow business across multiple sectors and drive revenue through both new and existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the rental and events markets, using CRM and lead generation tools.
  • Re‑engage with existing and lapsed clients, maintaining strong, long‑term relationships.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals to clients, clearly communicating value and product capabilities.
  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting and pitching through to contract negotiation and handover.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations Teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data and pipelines through the CRM system (Zoho).
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, ensuring profitability and compliance with company standards.
  • Upsell and cross‑sell across all service lines, maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform sales strategy.
  • Contribute to the wider commercial and growth strategy, shaping market presence and identifying new revenue streams.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within events, equipment hire, or related industries.
  • Strong presentation and relationship‑building skills, with a customer‑first mindset.
  • Confident in contract negotiation and commercial management.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, with strong time management and pipeline‑building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Zoho preferred).
  • Comfortable working in a target‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility for UK travel and occasional overnight stays.
