Job summary

Newsquest Media Group, home of LOCALiQ, is seeking a Field Sales Executive in Falmouth to drive local business growth through digital display and print solutions. You will visit clients, present tailored campaigns, and close deals face-to-face across your territory.

Based in or near the region, you will hold a full UK driving licence and use your own vehicle for travel. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, with a competitive salary and uncapped commission.

Qualifications

• Field-based, face-to-face sales visiting clients in your territory.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
• Based within or near the territory to travel to client sites.
• Experience in B2B sales is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
• Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks.
• Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support and increasing client spend.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle.
• Build long-term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite.
• Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility as a trusted regional ambassador.

This is a field-based, consultative sales role where you’ll be booking meetings in your territory, working with business owners and decision-makers face-to-face. You’ll represent some of the region’s most trusted local news brands and offer a cutting-edge mix of digital display and print products, tailored to each client’s goals. From first contact to closing the deals, you’ll be building strong relationships and delivering solutions that make a real impact.

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the move, visiting clients in their working environments, gaining real insight into their businesses, and showing them how LOCALiQ can help them thrive. To succeed in this role, you must be based within or near the territory, hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle for work-related travel. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday during office hours.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge
• Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Proven track record in B2B sales – You’ve successfully sold to businesses before and understand how to navigate commercial conversations with confidence and credibility.
• Experienced in outbound cold calling – You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and spark new opportunities, even when starting from scratch.
• Confident in securing new business over the phone – You know how to build rapport quickly, handle objections, and close deals remotely.
• Skilled at growing existing client accounts – You don’t just maintain relationships, you deepen them, spotting opportunities to add value and increase spend.
• Delivers exceptional customer service – You go above and beyond to ensure clients feel supported, understood, and valued at every stage of the journey.
• Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) – You’re familiar with digital and print advertising formats and how they can work together to drive results.
• Consultative, client-focused approach to selling – You listen first, ask the right questions, and tailor your recommendations to meet each client’s unique needs.
• Able to commute to the office – You’re within reach of the office and happy to be part of a collaborative, hybrid team environment.
• Owns a vehicle suitable for business use – You’re equipped to travel across your territory and meet clients wherever they are.
• Holds a full UK driving licence – Essential for the field-based nature of the role.
